EpimiRBase 1.0 released

Version 1.0 of EpimiRBase was released today. Epilepsy is one of the most common neurological disorders, affecting approximately 65 million people worldwide. MicroRNAs are short non-coding RNAs which function to fine-tune protein levels in all cells. They have been identified in the blood after injury to the brain and may serve as biomarkers of epilepsy.
EpimiRBase is a database of microRNAs associated with epilepsy extracted from published research. Version 1.0 has details from 30 publications on 1,796 MicroRNAs. Each microRNA has its own entry which features details shown below in addition to expression details, a link to the miRBase entry and a link to the original publication. Numbers in brackets are the number of entries in EpimiRBase for each microRNA.
  • microRNA (1,796)
    • regulation
      • up (991)
      • down (805)
  • type of study
